For a small island, Ibizan holidays have many wonderful guises...
Cheap flights, accommodation and holidays to Ibiza
Ibiza is a clubber’s destination par excellence, a cosmopolitan sojourn with streets of trendy boutiques, a hippy dippy affair with gorgeous beaches and laid-back cafes and - believe it or not - a tranquil idyll with hidden coves, deep-green pine forests and resorts perfect for families. Whatever you're looking for, a holiday to Ibiza is sure to offer a wonderful holiday experience.
The attraction of the azure waters and sparkling sands are pretty much universal. The secret is in knowing what you want and where to go to find it... Flamboyant Ibiza Town is the island’s hub buzzing with great shops, fashion victims, gothic architecture and trendy restaurants. But it is San Antonio town that is Europe’s club capital with its nightclubs slamming from dusk till dawn and beyond. This is the place to be for a young and lively Ibiza holiday. San Antonio Bay is more relaxed with several small beaches and lots of bars and cafes.
Whilst on holiday in Ibiza, explore the maze of ancient narrow streets of D’alt Vila, Ibiza Town’s old quarter, with fortified walls and gothic cathedral is like something from a fairy tale. The timeless harbour, elegant yachts and gourmet restaurants all add to the magic. And for natural splendour, there’s the Caves of San Miguel, boat trips to lovely Formentera and stunning sunsets over Cala d’Hort Bay to be experienced on your holiday to Ibiza.
For those looking to do some exploring whilst on holiday in Ibiza, there's plenty to discover on this charming island. Take a trip to the densely wooded interior of the island for olive, almond and carob groves, hilltop churches, white-washed villages and terrific tapas bars. See the fossil rocks and waterfall cascade of the Can Marca cave. Allow a full day to explore Ibiza Town’s medieval fortress and the UNESCO World Heritage site of its ancient D'alt Vila district. See the amazing slat flats in Salinas; explore Balafi, a Moorish fortified village, or wander round Sa Penya, the old fisherman’s quarter of Ibiza town for great seafood, people-watching and pavement cafes.

If you love to shop, you won't be disappointed on a holiday to Ibiza - Ibiza is great for shopping. Visit the hippie markets of Es Cana and San Carlos. Bargain hunters will love these colourful and lively markets. Bags, belts and shoes are good leatherware bargains. Pottery and glass make lovely, hand-crafted souvenirs of your holiday to Ibiza, and woven raffia work is light enough to pack in your suitcase. San Antonio and the boutiques at Carrer Rimbau in Ibiza Town are the best bets for serious shopping.
Watersports enthusiasts will find plenty to keep them amused, and golfers can tee off at Roca Llisa. Go sailing, windsurfing, or hire a pedalo. Or take the whole family to the Aguamar Waterpark in Playa d’en Bossa where there are slides, a pool and plenty of spots in which to sunbathe. For more laid-back activities, why not sample the locally produced wines and local dishes such as guisat de peix, a delicious fish stew; or join in the fun of local festivals (June/July).
