European Destinations from Guernsey

Guernsey airport does not just have flights to the UK. There are a number of direct flights to France, Germany, Holland and Ireland. With regular flights there is plenty of choice for you to find your ideal weekend or short break from Guernsey.

Dublin is infamous as a weekend break destination. With so much to see and do it is always popular for a fun-filled short break. The Guinness factory is always high up on the list of things to see and do, but if you get the chance, hire a car, get out of the city and see some of the fantastic scenery and meet some of the fascinating characters throughout the country.

If it is romance you are looking for then Paris is always top of the list. The iconic Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe are as stunning when you are there as they look on the postcards. Paris has a wonderful public transport network, but it is also small enough that you can walk around many of the main tourist spots.

Dinard is the gateway to North West France. Only a short hop of a flight away, it is a quick and cheap starting point for this picturesque region of France.

Switzerland. Blue Island now operate flights to Zurich and Geneva. These great cities are famous for banking and finance although there is so much more than that. As you would expect, everything in Switzerland is clean and ultra-efficient. Public transport runs on time and so there is no reason not to leave the city and head out to explore much of the spectacular scenery that has appeared on a million postcards. The alpine fields of wild flowers in the summer, turn to some of the best ski resorts in the world in the winter. So whatever the time of the year, Switzerland is always a great destination.
