Relaxing
With resorts varying from the large and lively, to the small and cosy, there are an assortment of activities to suit all tastes too. A wide range of watersports are available, as well as coastal walks, traditional markets to explore. For the kids there are waterparks, including Waterworld, Aquatic Park or Marineland.

Eating Out
Local cuisine is dominated by rice and fish dishes. ‘Pilota’ is a combination of beef, bread, eggs and white beans. ‘Zarzuela’ is a seafood dish with cuttlefish, mussels and prawns. It was on the Costa Brava that the British were introduced to sangria – a refreshing blend of lemonade, wine, brandy and fruit.

Shopping
Scattered throughout the resorts, you’ll find gift shops and boutiques selling all manner of goods. As with other Spanish resorts, ceramics and leather goods are a good buy. There are also markets offering local produce and artisan crafts. All of which make excellent souvenirs of your holiday to the Costa Brava.
